Using the ATM is a convenient way to get cash from your account, day or night. If you are using another institution's ATM, they might charge you a usage fee for accessing this machine. Some fees are as high as several dollars. By law, the ATM must disclose the amount of the fee before you complete your transaction. Here are a few money saving tips to remember before you visit the cash machine.

Look for ALLIANCE ONE. Alliance One is a network of credit unions that will not charge a usage fee. WTFCU participates in the Alliance One program. When you are traveling, look for the Alliance One decal on the ATM. Click for the list of Alliance One participants.

Plan Ahead. The ATM is there for you to use. However, some members find themselves visiting the ATM several times a day. Rather than making several small withdrawals, plan ahead when you can and make one larger withdrawal for your daily needs.
